Is it really serving you to be on 20 apps and messaging people for five hours a day?
I think it’s so helpful for people to boil these things down into like digestible milestones. Like you were saying, the small wins.
It’s a lot easier to kind of celebrate small wins if you’re on a health journey, but with dating, it feels like we don’t know how to quantify those little wins. So it’s like, everything feels like a loss until you’re in a relationship.
So we really have to figure out what are the little wins. And so one thing that I think is a really easy way to this is by, really making a dating strategy for yourself. Is it really serving you to be on 20 apps and messaging people for five hours a day? Probably not like you need to conserve your energy.
And so like maybe it’s two times a day or like in the morning, you’re swiping for 20 minutes, and then in the evening, give yourself an hour to message back and swipe more. So then you can be like “Hey, cool. I did that, done.”
Well, those are things you can control and you can create structure around. So it feels like you are doing something to move the needle. You can give yourself that comfort knowing that you did your part today, swiping when you said you would or went on the date or whatever.
